4 Different Types of PUR Water Filters

PUR Water filters can be purchased all over including many local discount stores.  Here are four common filters that people purchase for every day use or occasional usage.

1. Faucet filter – This type of filter attaches to your faucet where it empties.  You will usually have to remove the bottom screwed on attachment and rubber O ring and attached this filter.  Do not worry the filter comes with an o ring and the necessary attachment to connect to any faucet screw set.  When you turn on your water you have the choice to turn the filter on by wither turning a button that turns the filter system on or turn the whole filter up or down to make the filter accessible.

2. Pitcher filter – This is great for the person that just wants a little drinking water and wants it to be chemical and bacteria free.  There is a filter in the pitcher.  You pour water into the filter from the top or put the pitcher under the faucet and fill.  Most people will put the pitcher in the refrigerator to get cool water.

3. Under sink filter – these are great for people who don’t want to deal with the filter on the faucet which can get in the way and be cumbersome being attached to the faucet end.  This gives all water that empties out of the kitchen faucet filter qualities.  Therefore washing dishes drinking can all be filtered.

4. Refrigerator filter – This is a filter that gets attached to your door water accessory on your refrigerator.  When you get ice or water from the door of your refrigerator you will know that it has been filtered.  You may even know a better taste from your ice cubes and they may look very clearn instead of cloudy.
